End of Year Lessons and Exam Schedule

Reading

Monday- Listen to story on tape “Down and Up Fall”, complete all workbook pages with skills.

Tuesday- Take the story comprehension test/vocabulary test for Down and Up Fall.

Wednesday- Genre –Students will be introduced to different types of writing. We will begin with Myths.

Thursday—Genre- Students will read biographies together and discuss

Friday—TRACK and FIELD

Tuesday—Genre—Tall Tales will be read and discussed

Wednesday—Genre—Folk Tales will be read and discussed

Thursday—Genre—Historical Fiction

Friday---Genre---Science Fiction

Monday—Genre—Student’s choice

Math

Monday- Complete all pages in workbook for Chapter 29 (Area) together. Assign text pages for Chapter 29

Tuesday—Check Ch. 29 text pages. Give Ch. 29 test.

Wednesday—Complete all pages in workbook for Chapter 30 (Surface Area)

Thursday—Assign Ch 30 text pages to do in class.

Friday—Check pages in text for Chapter 30. Give Ch. 30 test.

Tuesday-Friday- Complete year review pages in text book.

Grammar

Monday—Complete pages 104-5 in workbook

Tuesday—Check pages 104-5 together, give page 106 as a quiz grade

Wednesday—Take Theme 6 test

Thursday—Go over Theme 6 test together. Students are to correct their work on their checked tests.

Friday—Punctuation/Grammar correction sheets. These will be completed as a group.

Tues-Friday--- Complete Grammar year end review sheets

Social Studies

Monday--Review Ch 5. Test tomorrow

Tuesday—Test on Ch. 5

Wednesday—Review Chapter 10 PA’s Government

Thursday—Open book test on Ch. 10

Friday—Begin reading Chapter 6 together

Tuesday-Friday—Continue reading in PA book. No other chapters will be tested in Ch. 6-9.

Science

Monday-Thursday Complete “Here’s Looking at You 2000”.

· Show video on peer pressure

· Read This and That ( a book about peer pressure)

· Complete demonstration on the effects of smoking

· Review the 10 facts vs. myths

· Show video on “Helping your children to stay out of trouble”

· Complete worksheets on Drugs, Alcohol, Smoking, and peer pressures

· Take quiz on what was covered during the week
