WEDNESDAY

The student will be able to write various components of a 5 paragraph essay

Review handout and begin to reinforce the previous lesson through in-class activities

Informal through body language and responses to curriculum driven questions.

Additional practice with introduction paragraphs (Simple format outline)

THURSDAY

The student will be able to write various components of a 5 paragraph essay

Students will begin the lesson on body paragraphs.  Body paragraph simple format outline will be introduced.

Students will write practice paragraphs before beginning to construct their own original essay for homework.

Write the body of their essay (minimum of 3 paragraphs) for tomorrow’s class.

FRIDAY

The student will be able to write various components of a 5 paragraph essay

Review the body paragraph, the simple outline, and the students’ original work.

Formally through completion of their conclusion essay for homework.   Informally

Complete the conclusion paragraph for homework.
