Objectives:       Students will plan a trip Across America. - Students will locate and select a sporting event and amusement park to travel and visit

Activities:          Students will select a sporting event and amusement park to visit on their trip. They must have the date and location of the sporting event.  They must also have the location of the amusement park. They need to list the nearest airports to each place  and find the cost of each event.

Objectives:       Students will plan a trip Across America – Students will list all places to visit in order to create the itinerary.

Activities:          Students will prioritize all places of interest into an itinerary. Students plan destinations carefully, along with determining transportation and length of stay.

Wednesday, Oct. 8

Objectives:       Students will plan a trip Across America – Students will list all places to visit in order to create the itinerary.

Activities:          Students will prioritize all places of interest into an itinerary. Students plan destinations carefully, along with determining transportation and length of stay. Students will place destinations in order to begin listing them in the itinerary.

Objectives:       Students will plan a trip Across America – Students will list all places to visit in order to create the itinerary.

Activities:          Students will prioritize all places of interest into an itinerary. Students plan destinations carefully, along with determining transportation and length of stay. Students will locate motel, hotels and find travel fare for the trip they are planning.

Friday, Oct. 10

Objectives:       Students will plan a trip Across America – Students will list all places to visit in order to create the itinerary.

Activities:          Students will prioritize all places of interest into an itinerary. Students plan destinations carefully, along with determining transportation and length of stay.  Students should finalize the itinerary, motel, hotel fares and travel fares.  Students are to be ready to type the itinerary on Monday.

Monday, Oct. 6

Objectives:       Students will write an introductory paragraph

Activities:          Students will begin writing the research paper by beginning on the introductory paragraph.  Ask students to look over their notes on the organizer and list the 6 most important factors concerning the career they have chosen.  Students will begin with a one sentence description of the career and then include the six facts in the introductory paragraph.

Tuesday, Oct. 7

Objectives:       Students will proof read and edit introductory paragraph- Students will write body of the research paper

Activities:          Students will meet with their peer editing partner and revise and proofread the paragraph they have written for 15 min.  Students will then continue to write the paper.  Students have access to examples of career research papers if requested.

Objectives:       Students will write the body of the research paper- Students will proofread and revise paper

Activities:          Encourage students to continue to write their paper, using the information from the note organizer.  Students must proofread and revise.

Thursday, Oct. 9

Objectives:       Students will write the body of the research paper- Students will proofread and revise paper

Activities:          Encourage students to continue to write their paper, using the information from the note organizer.  Students must proofread and revise.  This will be the second writing day.

Friday, Oct. 10

Objectives:       Students will write the conclusive paragraph- Students will proof read and revise paper.

Activities:          Ask students to summarize facts and place into a conclusive paragraph.  Read several examples to assist students.  Students will spend time revising and meeting with peer review editor.
